1. GENERAL

1.1 Longaevitas Health (Pty) Ltd is engaged in the business of delivering data‑enabled, AI‑supported wellness and longevity management services for doctors and patients. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, and protect personal information in connection with our web platform, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

1.2 “You” or “Data Subject” refers to any individual whose personal information is collected, including doctors, practice staff, patients, and website visitors.

1.3 This Privacy Policy is part of our Terms of Use and applies to all interactions with our Services. By using our platform or signing up as a member or doctor, you agree to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Services.

1.4 We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and complying with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), and all other applicable South African data protection laws.

2. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect personal information necessary to provide the Services, including:

  • Identification and contact details (name, ID number, email, phone number, address).

  • Demographic details (age, gender, date of birth).

  • Account details and preferences.

  • Health‑related information that you choose to share with us, such as:

    • Laboratory test results (blood work, biomarkers, etc.).

    • Measurements from approved medical devices or health assessments.

    • Lifestyle and wellness information from questionnaires (nutrition, activity, sleep, goals, etc.).

  • Payment and billing information.

  • Technical data (IP address, browser type, access logs, and usage patterns).

We do not collect genetic or epigenetic data unless explicitly required for a specific authorised test and with your express written consent.

3. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect information directly from you when you:

  • Create an account or register as a member or doctor;

  • Complete forms or questionnaires;

  • Book or attend a consultation or scan;

  • Communicate with us by email, phone, or chat;

  • Make a payment; or

  • Use our digital platform.

We may also receive information from trusted third‑party sources where you have authorised them to share it with us, such as:

  • Laboratories or diagnostic partners (for test results);

  • Your doctor or practice (for care coordination); or

  • Payment processors or healthcare software partners who integrate with our systems.

4. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING

We process personal information to:

  • Provide, manage, and improve our Services;

  • Generate personalised longevity and wellness insights;

  • Facilitate doctor‑patient collaboration on the platform;

  • Maintain billing, administration, and account records;

  • Conduct analytics, research and quality assurance (in anonymised or aggregated form);

  • Communicate with you about appointments, reports, updates, or system alerts;

  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and professional obligations.

We will only process personal information for legitimate purposes related to the delivery of our Services, and only for as long as necessary for those purposes.

5. USE OF NON‑PERSONAL OR ANONYMISED DATA

We may collect aggregated or anonymised data for research, statistical, or product‑improvement purposes. This data cannot be linked back to you personally and is treated as non‑personal information.

6. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

Under POPIA, we process personal information on the following lawful grounds:

  • Consent — where you have provided explicit permission;

  • Contract — where processing is necessary to perform our obligations to you (e.g., membership or doctor subscription);

  • Legal Obligation — to comply with South African laws and professional regulations;

  • Legitimate Interests — for secure operation and enhancement of our Services.

7. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

We may send you service announcements or newsletters relevant to your membership or practice. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent, and you may opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing support@longaevitashealth.com.

8. DATA SHARING

We may share your personal information only with:

  • Your nominated doctor or practice, where applicable and authorised by you;

  • Service providers acting on our behalf (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics);

  • Laboratories or diagnostic providers assisting in your assessments;

  • Regulatory bodies where required by law.

All such parties are bound by confidentiality and data‑processing agreements consistent with POPIA.

We may transfer data outside South Africa for storage or processing (e.g., AWS cloud infrastructure), subject to the safeguards required by Section 72 of POPIA.

9. SECURITY MEASURES

We implement technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including:

  • Encryption in transit and at rest;

  • Secure AWS hosting with access control and audit logging;

  • Role‑based permissions within doctor/practice accounts;

  • Staff confidentiality undertakings and training; and

  • Regular vulnerability testing and data backup.

While we take all reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. You acknowledge that transmission over the internet carries inherent risk.

10. DATA RETENTION

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose collected, or as required by law. Health‑related data is typically retained for two years after the end of your relationship with us, after which it will be anonymised by removing identifiers linking the data to you.

11. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER POPIA

You have the following rights:

  • Access: to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

  • Correction: to request that we correct or complete inaccurate data.

  • Erasure: to request deletion of your personal information, where legally permissible.

  • Restriction: to request limited processing of your information.

  • Objection: to object to certain types of processing, including direct marketing.

  • Data Portability: to request transfer of your data to another Responsible Party, where applicable.

Requests must be made in writing to support@longaevitashealth.com We will respond within one month, subject to verification of your identity and applicable law.

12. COOKIES AND ONLINE TRACKING

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to improve functionality and user experience. Cookies may collect information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings, but certain site functions may not operate properly without them.

13. CHILDREN

Our Services are designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child’s information has been provided without parental consent, it will be deleted.

14. BUSINESS TRANSFERS

If Longaevitas Health undergoes a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to continued protection under this Policy.
